I love the color orange. In the right place of course, and mostly as an accent, but yes I like the color a lot. What do I love that's orange?
4. What's something you have now you couldn't have imagined having five years ago? How does that make you feel? What's possible now because of it?
Something I couldn't have imagined five years ago? Having a daughter living four miles away.
How does it make me feel? Grateful, happy, in awe of God's goodness and the way he cares about the smallest details of our lives.
What's possible now because of it? Grabbing coffee on a Tuesday morning, meeting at Hobby Lobby to shop for seasonal goodies, a spontaneous dinner after a grandson's soccer match, sitting side by side in a church pew every Sunday
5. Let's wrap this one up with an October this or that...
- pumpkin bread or apple cider donut
- cozy sweater or cozy hoodie
- apple picking or pumpkin picking
- scary movie or Hallmark movie
- hayride or corn maze
- twinkle lights or candles
- autumn hike or autumn bonfire
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I've had company all week so getting this post in under the wire.
Just a reminder I'm hosting a 'Day In The Life' link up for anyone who wants to participate on Thursday, November 13th. For details see my random thought in last week's Hodgepodge-A Freshly Painted Hodgepodge.
Hoping this season is beautiful wherever you may be!
Great family pictures! Lots of beauty this time of year- from the beauty of nature to the beauty of making plans with those we love for the holidays. I hope your week has been fun with your friends being in town and full of all of the beautiful things :). Have a great day and thanks for the questions/link up.
ReplyDeleteYour family pictures are just the best. I love your MOB dress. I think the girls really favor your husband in the face? I love that your daughter moved so close. What a dream!
ReplyDeleteI love that your daughter lives close enough to do daily life with. After all of those years living oceans apart, I’m sure it means the world to you to be able to get together at the drop of a hat.

ReplyDeleteIt is so nice when our older kids ask us to be involved in their plans. My girl has invited me out for something later on in the week and I felt so happy when she did.
How wonderful to have your daughter so close. Is your Day in the Life the 11th or the 13th?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for catching my typo! The link up is Thursday the 13th!
DeleteOur choices for "this or that" were almost all the same.
ReplyDeleteIt's so, so special that your daughter and family now live nearby and you even go to the same church. What a blessing!
Beautiful family, Joyce! I'm still giggling that you and I chose the same title!
ReplyDeleteWonderful family pics!!
ReplyDeleteAnd i LOVE your hair in the 2nd family photo......you look great with shorter hair!
I love it when one of my daughters asks me to do coffee with her. I'm fortunate that one only lives about 4 miles from us and the youngest lives just to the south of us by 10 minutes.
YAY for all things Autumn!
I just loved all your answers about your daughter who asked you to do something and all the joys of having her close. Such simple, but sweet things. Thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThat is so nice that your daughter lives so close!
ReplyDeleteAfter all those years hither and yon, to have your daughter able to settle in your neck of the woods is the best!! Wonderful thoughts about family. Sooo thankful our people love Jesus! We have company arriving Friday thru Monday. Life is rich!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful answer for #1. Thank you for sharing those photos. You are blessed. Yes, that was sweet of her to ask. Love those seat cushions. P.S. I do not like either of the movie picks ... I did answer Hitchcock, he is kinda scary, the scary I can handle, but I have not watched Psycho. Rear Window is my favorite, I love both James Stewart and Grace Kelly, I love her clothes/style in this movie.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos! It's wonderful to live so close to family; I love the summers when my mother and step father live so near. I often pop in in the afternoon just to talk and visit.
ReplyDeleteLoved all your photos of your beautiful family. I am looking forward to hooking up with the Day in the Life link.
ReplyDeleteSuch great family photos and memories. I don't know if my kids will ever live that close to us again, but I'll keep hope alive since it happened for you!
ReplyDeleteIt took 18 years and a lot of prayer so don't give up : )
