A word that describes my life? Full.
A word I wish described my life? Accomplished.
2. Back in my day we___________________________________?
...had to wait one whole entire week to watch the next episode in a TV series.
3. When it comes to takeout are you more likely to opt for Italian, Mexican, or Chinese food? Does a typical week at your house include takeout?
We don't do a lot of takeout here because we live a long way from any place that would make the take out option convenient. We've never done Mexican takeout. I do like Chinese takeout, but as I said that's not a great option here. We do Italian every once in a blue moon, but honestly it's just easier to eat in a restaurant. By the time we bring takeout home it's cold which means reheating and eh, that's not my thing.
4. Think about the people you most respect. What is it about them that earned your respect?
I think without exception it would be their high integrity. Oftentimes it's also their brains and/or skill in a particular area, a strong work ethic, and the way they treat others in addition to integrity, but never without it. If a person lacks integrity I will struggle with respect.
5. What's something your friends might see and say is 'so you'?
British stuff, hedgehog stuff, lake life stuff to name just a few. Also I felt like I needed to look up an official definition of the word 'stuff' so I did, and it totally works for me here.

Happy Easter everyone! Love wins-
That's so funny...we opened our post with the same greeting...HA! I actually loved getting peeps in my Easter basket! Really great answers...I think sometimes I overthink mine and when I read other's I sometimes say to myself, "why didn't I think of that?!" I guess that's why you called it the Hodgepodge! Beautiful song and yes, LOVE WINS. Have a wonderful Easter, Joyce.
ReplyDeleteOh YES, waiting a whole week for the next TV episode!!! And only seeing classic favorites once a year! Like the Charlie Brown specials and The Grinch!
ReplyDeleteIntegrity is a winner.
Have a wonderful Easter <3
I said the same thing about life. My life is full. But you know what, I am so happy about that, that I decided that I didn't wish for anything else. I am so lucky to have so many to love and to be loved by so many!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Easter, Joyce!
We have the same problem with take-out. It's cold by the time we get home with it :(
ReplyDeleteJoyce, I hope you and your family have a happy and blessed Easter. Thanks for everything you do for us "Hodgepodgers". I'll be on the road next week, but I'll see you the week after.

We have one Chinese take-out place that is pretty good out of 10+ Chinese restaurants here. There's one that everyone loves but I don't. Of course, there's nothing new there. LOL Respect is hard earned from me. I think my standards are too high or I take all that disappointment too hard??? Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle when you spoke of "Stuff working for you" I know what you mean...I try to get rid of something each time I buy something but alas I think I need to get rid of a dozen things to make a difference!!
ReplyDeleteOh I soo identify with the waiting a whole week for the next episode, lol. Binge watching or whipping through a whole season of something has soo become the way we watch. Have a wonderful Easter!
ReplyDeleteThank you Joyce. I was inspired by your positive comments today...I've struggled with that of late.
ReplyDeleteAs usual I overthought the questions. I think I'm tired. I enjoyed reading your answers. A very happy Easter week to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Joyce!!
ReplyDeleteI like how you answered #4.
Have a blessed Easter weekend,
Carla
You're right, it is easier to eat in a restaurant then to get take out. I would say we probably eat out once a month. I'm dealing with a person who is ignorant person right now and it is so hard. Happy Easter to you too!
ReplyDeleteI had not heard that song before, but what a text. Praise God He is Alive! He is Risen! May you and your family have a very blessed Easter.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Joyce. Thanks for another great week of questions.
ReplyDeleteGreat Hodgepodge today, Joyce! Thanks for hosting! A blessed Easter to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, integrity is very necessary. Without integrity not much of anything else matters.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another set of good questions Joyce.
I laughed at #2. Life was TOUGH then!! LOL When The Crown came to Netflix, I watched the first episode and was going to allow myself to watch an episode per week so as not to use up the whole thing at once. Instead, after the first episode, I binged on the whole thing. Good thing I didn't have DOTS candy on hand! Have a wonderful and blessed Easter, Joyce. Thanks for the great Hodgepodge.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and yours! I enjoyed your Hodgepodge answers here!! I agree with you on integrity!
ReplyDeleteI saw your song and went back and added one to my Hodgepodge that has been on my mind.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
Hedgehog stuff...how about Hodgepodge stuff?
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter.
ReplyDeleteYes, an accomplished life, who would not want that said of their life. We never ever do take out either. We live just far enough out of town for it to pretty much be impossible to get it delivered. We just go out. :o)) Easter blessings!
ReplyDeleteI get the English stuff and the Lake stuff but I am stumped by the Hedgehog stuff. I was amused at the consensus of the state of television in the time of our youth. I agree that integrity is essential for one to earn respect.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your kind comments. I wish you and your family a Happy Easter.
