This little family of deer visit the hill at the back of our yard every morning. The babies are just too adorable. I took this picture through the window because of you know who. Actually, the deer don't phase her much...the groundhogs now, well that's another story.
Watching the deer in my backyard makes me think of one of my favorite verses..
"As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God."Psalm 42:1
Have a great Monday...Joyce
Good Morning Joyce! I'm sitting with my kiddos and just LOVE this sweet post. Do you have a fence yet in your yard??? Poor Dixie must be going crazy. What a sweet family of deer to spend your mornings with though. So cute. Have a great day! And, here's hoping that soon enough you will have a house full of appliances and your belongings!
ReplyDeleteHow neat, Joyce!
ReplyDeleteI bet the baby deer is precious.
My husband hunts, so you know why he gets excited when he sees deer on his land. I could never!!!
I love this verse you mentioned. We sing it at church occasionally. It's always been one of my favorites too.
Have a great week!
Love,
Val
Okay, so the deer are in the Bible, so now I feel guilty about hating them for what they do to my yard when they traipse through it in the middle of the night as they head toward that stream of water behind my house.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Joyce. LOL!
I love seeing the deer in my yard, but don't love how they LOVE my yews and other bushes! I noticed they visited the salad bar yesterday...my hosta! OH...love that verse too, ever heard the chorus that goes with it? Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnyway...just had to tell you, I lost over an hour of sleep the other night bc of your blog! : ) Hubby is in FL, so I cozied up with my itouch and ended up on your blog. I read way past the post about the fox and ground hog! Yes, read all that on my little i touch! Crazy, huh...but you had me in stitches and I needed that!
I truly hope you get your items soon! After eating out for a week, I was ready for a home cooked meal. I can't imagine a month.
I will actually miss snow and the foliage that the north has to offer...so cont to post pictures! Have a great week...I have so much to do!
Yes I think the deer are beautiful and every morning I can watch them under my apple tree in my back yard eating fallen apples . They are the reason I can't have a garden anymore either.
ReplyDeleteAs one old women by her self I can't fence to keep them out so have to buy at market instead.
I miss gardening vegetables.
What a beautiful picture of the deer and a beautiful verse as well!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
Joyce,
ReplyDeleteI sent you an e-mail yesterday with the two recipes I promised. Have you received it? If not, I will resend it.
As far as motion sickness on the ship... none of us get even a little queazy. It's great. I never even noticed the difference of being on land after the cruise was over.
It has been great seeing all of the beauty of New Jersey in your pictures that most people don't know about. Since we lived in Northwest Jersey, I can appreciate the pictures you have been posting. I hope you are enjoying your new home. :-)
OH JOYCE!!!!! YAY! I am so not a computer person, but this Mac could turn me into one. The On to One is the best thing you could do. They teach you anything you want to know. The best part about a Mac is . . . throw everything else you know out the "window" (HA!No pun intended) and think logically. If you think, I should be able to do this this way - you probably do. It was the very best thing we ever did. At the time I started my blog, I found that a lot of blog designs were not compatible with Mac. But now that I know so much more, I could've probably done it myself if I'd waited. The only question I forgot to ask yesterday was what that little square thing is on my follower's picture. Everything else he answered in about 5 mins flat and then we just explored. I love my computer. And now my husband loves it, so he bought us a laptop too. Pictures and just being creative is soooooo easy now. You will be so glad you did it!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Let me know how it goes! HAGD! Karen
