Inquiring minds want to know

Note-this post was written a while back but I'm linking it with Kelly's Korner SUYL today as a way of introducing myself to 'older bloggers'.

Hmmm...I don't feel like an older blogger.

I'm married to my college sweetheart, am mom of two 20-something daughters, love to write, cook, and travel. I think my blog content can best be described as the everyday nonsense of mid-life. This post gives you a small, albeit wordy, picture of who I am but please feel free to look around...I'd love for you to let me know if you were here so I can come over and say hi.

So if blogging is at times a little bit self indulgent then these 100 things about ME posts must truly take the cake....which is why I've written 110 things about me. Actually, someone suggested that I put a list out there on the occasion of my 100th post and I didn't even realize my 100th post had come and gone. Yeah, observant I know. Then of course I had to wait for a nice round number to roll around... like 110. It would make me twitch to have some random amount, like 104 things about me, posted for all time....that would just be annoying. Perhaps I should have included this kind of quirk in my list below.

Now for your viewing pleasure here are 110 things about me...if you've done a 100 (or however many) things post about your very own self then please leave me a link in the comments and I'll come plow read through yours too. If you haven't then consider yourself tagged. You're welcome.

  1. Okay, I will admit I skimmed through your 110 things, but I have to say, Joyce, that it sounds like we have a lot in common. I may do a 100 things about me post, but I've been a little self-indulgent lately on my blog already so I may have to wait awhile.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Glad to know you're married to Indiana Jones' twin brother. Maybe we'll meet at the next family reunion! : )

By the way, I loved your post on visiting your grown up daughters for the weekend. I know very much how you feel.

  2. The thumb thing is still cracking me up! Those little preschoolers just don't know their own strength, do they? and those last two...well, I'll be thinking about them all day. Thanks, gal. Happy 110th post to you! Happy 110th post to you! Happy 110th post to Joooyyyce! Happy 110th post toOooOO yoOooOOu!

  3. Joyce,

What a great way to celebrate your 110th post! I will definitely take up your challenge and post this next week. I love your dual life in the states and in England. Something about England just speaks home to me!

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

  4. Great post Joyce!
It's always nice to get to know someone better & what a great way.
I'm the third child too....the middle child. :)
I hope to meet you in person one day.
    You are pretty amazing.

  5. I read each one of them! We have quite a bit in common... well, except the age of our girls. ;) I'm still looking for the pause button on them! Great list!

  6. Loved reading the 110 things about you, Joyce! I just may have to try this myself! And we have alot in common! :-) Hope you have a great weekend! God's blessings to you!!♥

  7. Hey there, thanks for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate your words of advice.

In other news, I wholeheartedly agree with numbers 52 and 105 :-D

  8. Great, great list Joyce. We definitely have some things in common and it was good to get to know you a little better.

  9. This was wonderful! I enjoyed getting to know more about you. I'm not quite to 100 posts yet (actually, I have no idea how many posts I have, but it's definitely not three digits, so), but when I get there I'll have to do a list, too.

(And I also love "brilliant," "gobsmacked," and "knackered"...all those wonderful Britishisms. They remind me of my late step-grandmother who was from London).

  10. I tried to leave a comment for you before and Google dumped me. How rude! :)

It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. Happy New Year! Candace

  11. What a fun list to read. Made me happy to just think about the special way God made you you!! And in turn, to give Him thanks for the way He made me me. Blessings to you and your sweet family.

  12. Hi, Joyce! I linked up too. I never had the kind of tea you mention in 104. It was fun to read more about you.

  13. Hi Joyce, I found you through Kelly's blog. I didn't link up but enjoyed reading the blogs that did. I live in Alberta, Canada and your comment about snow made me smile -- not my favourite time of year!! I read every one of your 110 and we are similar in several ways. I love the word "gobsmacked" even though I've never heard it used!! lol I don't post very often on my blog but love to read others.

  14. I am amazed that you could think of 110 things. And they're interesting things, too!

My daughter and I are both in love with all things English, so I loved the England references.

Enjoyed stopping by from Kelly's Korner!
