The post in which I don't talk about stuff

So I know I mentioned a little thing about a job interview yesterday and yes I did indeed have a job interview but I don't think I'm going to say anything about it here. Not because it did not go well-it did. But because a. my head is still spinning and 2. I'm conflicted and also c. if I do take a job I will not be blogging about it for privacy reasons...work place privacy that is, not my own. Suffice it to say I tossed and turned all night and finally fell asleep only to be awakened in what felt like the middle of the night because my hubs left the alarm set from yesterday when he got up at ridunkulous o'clock. And our clock is up high on his armoire and is operated by a miniature remote control which is kept on his side of the bed so not only can I not easily reach it but I cannot read the buttons when I do.

On the bright side, I'm having my highlights done today so all will soon be almost right with the world. And then I'm going for a pedicure. There is nothing like a great haircut and color topped off with a pedicure to clear the foggy head and provide clarity about life's big decisions. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Plus, I think...I think that I might possibly meet my very first blog stranger friend tomorrow. And I'm not going to say anything else about that either. Aren't you glad you popped in here today to not read about stuff. I will most definitely be writing about it after the fact but I want to make sure it actually happens before I do.

Enjoy your weekend everyone...hey, it's Thursday, that's practically the weekend, right?

  5. I think you have grounds for divorce over that alarm clock incident.

Good luck with the job prospect. :)

  11. Joyce,

Sometimes I think that we often carry so much around inside us and it clouds our ability to reason. However during getting your hair done and pedicure, you will eliminate some of those issues that have been floating around inside and am confident that you will do the right thing.

  12. Have a great weekend. Love the idea of a pedicure! Almost as good as a massage at relieving the tension built up inside.

By the way...you commented on my blog that you couldn't use the link...did you try to copy and paste? (I probably should have just put the video on the screen but I haven't tried to figure out how to do that.)

  13. What? You've got a lot going on! I hate not being able to blog about work because THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH ARE CERTIFIABLE.

  17. How exciting to meet a blog friend. Valerie and I had such an awesome time meeting each other last year, but it is weird meeting someone that you know so much about, but have not met in person. You would have thought we had known each other forever. We talked non-stop. Good luck with the job if that is what you want. I did not know you were thinking about going back to work. Have a nice weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

  18. I've met several blogging friends in person and LOVE it! I so hope it works out. I am still amazed at the special friendships I've made through blogging. In fact, I'm meeting a blogging friend here in a little while for breakfast at IHOP!
Love your new header. I'm sorry I've not been by here lately. Camp, girls trip, vacation....I'm so frustrated because I'm so behind. I do love coming over here to your blog though.
Have a great day. Good luck with the job. I know it'll work out just the way it's supposed to.
    Love ya!

  19. Ridunkulous o'clock? I'm borrowing that one. Are you going to work for the CIA? Because that would be awesome.

  20. Well. You aren't meeting me. :(
    Kidding!
    Good luck with everything!

  21. Joyce, I'm hoping you get the job! Sometimes they can be scarce, especially now.

I met a bunch of blog strangers along with one I knew at our Blogstock '08. We all had fun. It would be scarier if it were just one. Same sex I hope?

Our Londoners are about to settle in. Mrs. Jim is staying on until August 4 as Granny Nanny. Her 'hubs' and step-daughter should be coming August 3. They picked a flat in St. John's Wood. They still have a house to sell here n Katy, Texas.

  22. I look forward to a future post to learn if you entered the workforce. It seems the most logical thing to do. I often daydream about re-entering the workforce upon our return to the U.S. With the kids all gone, what else is there to do?

  23. It doesn't take much to keep me awake tossing and turning these days. Those are usually the mornings that someone at my house leaves the alarm on too.

Are you headed this way anytime soon?
