Say it isn't SnOw!

Good Monday morning on this second day of Spring.
Nothing says spring quite like falling snow and icy roads, does it?
I'd seen a possibility of a 'wintry mix' (two of my least favorite words, by the way) in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday but this-

ugh.
I was not expecting to wake up to this today.
I think they are calling it 'flurries' but my deck is saying otherwise.

Falling snow, icy roads, and black ice are not words that should be found in a blog post on the second day of spring.

Unless they are used to say how happy we are not to have them around anymore!

It is sort of pretty.

Not as pretty as Friday though, when we had one gloriously warm and picture perfect day.
Isn't March always just a big tease?
In my head I know this and snow should not surprise me... but it does.
Warm sunny days just put everyone in a better mood.

Even my dog agrees.
She loves to be outdoors and lays right up against the house...I think she's afraid she might miss something if she strays too far.
A crazy picture I know because we have a heating vent in front of the glass and there's all sorts of reflecting happening there.
That's because it was SUNNY!
The way Spring should be!

And I was worried I'd have nothing to talk about this Monday morning.

In that sense the weather never lets me down.

In other exciting weekend wrap up news (admit it...weather talk is exciting) we laid low.
Hubs didn't get back from his across the sea travels until the weekend was almost over and then he needed to ease back into our time zone.
Easing back into our time zone usually involves a nap on the couch.
And because I'm a good wife I empathize with his jet lag and I nap too.
I think it's the least I can do.

"With rushing winds and gloomy skies
The dark and stubborn Winter dies:
Far-off, unseen,
Spring faintly cries.
Bidding her earliest child arise; March!"

  1. Last Monday, we drove through snow on our way to Beta convention. It was crazy! And typical of the weather here, it was in the 60s and 70s the rest of the week! Hope you get warmer weather soon.

  3. Do you think it will get here? I just saw our first snowflake this morning. We're in for 4-8 inches.
    Come on spring!

  4. Ugh, I am so sorry for you. It is pretty though and the upside is it won't be around for long anymore! Spring is on it's way, I promise! We had major rain yesterday, 60 today and in the 40's the rest of the week. You're right, March is a huge tease!

  5. WOW! That's a lot of snow for "flurries." Oi! I'm so hoping we are done with all that. It's supposed to be nice here the next couple days, then cool back off into the mid-50s. So ready for it to be in the 70s every day. Have a good week. Blessings, SusanD

  7. I know ya'll have to be tired of it by now. We had flurries twice this winter so I can't even begin to imagine how much ya'll have had.

  9. Just think about how you will be wishing for cooler temps in the middle of the summer. At least I will be wishing for them. I guess it's easy for me to talk...we're warm here in the lower 80's.
A nap sounds really good about now.

  11. It is pretty, but I'm glad I don't have to endure it. Look at it this way--Easter is late this year, so hopefully the snow will definitely be gone by then.

You're such a wonderful wife to take an empathetic nap with your husband! : )

  13. UGH! Keep it up there! It's been in the 70's here, but I know we're going to get at least one more "burp" of winter before we're done!

  19. It is pretty. That said, I'm glad I'm viewing it thru pictures and not in person. Ha.

I enjoy the Sundays when the Hubby has "homework" and I can help by being quiet, which means napping. :)
