Welcome to another edition of The Wednesday Hodgepodge. If you've answered today's questions add your link at the end of my post then leave a comment for the blogger before you. Here we go-
1. According to author Gary Chapman there are five love languages-words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service, and receiving gifts. Which one is yours?2. What are five foods you eat every day?
Coffee. Is coffee a food? I'm going to say yes.
Also cheese, fruit, salad, and pretzels. I don't know about every day, but most days for sure. Except the coffee which for sure is every day.
3. Five places you'd love to visit?
The Grand Tetons, Banff, the English countryside, the French countryside, Ireland
4. Something you've done recently that deserved a 'high five'?
Swaddled baby boy like a pro. His momma went to the dentist and I got him wrapped up like a little burrito, which is how he likes to sleep.
5. Give us five 5-letter words that describe your July.
tribe, chums, merry, miles, humid
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I like to write my grands a letter on my blog when their birthdays roll around each year. Today is the mancub's birthday and you can read his letter in the post linked here (Five)

I am chiming in for the first time here! I wanted to add coffee as a food but wasn't sure either. Lol. And good job, you definitely deserve a high five for that swaddle, that is hard!! I never managed it ever. I remember waking up my husband at 2 am to reswaddle our kiddo. Lol.
ReplyDeleteHooray for a 5 year old. Swaddling was something my mother always did. I wanted to say coffee because that is definitely something that doesn't change whatever the season. I have a high school friend who is posting photos of her time in Banff right now...glorious! The Tetons are close enough to us to warrant an easy enough road trip...maybe next year, Lord Willing. Enjoy the rest of July!
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce. These were really fun questions this week. I like your 5 foods, well all except the coffee. I just never learned to like coffee or tea. Heading to read the letter to your grandson. I think that is such a neat idea. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteLove your list of five places you want to visit. Nothing better than swaddling baby boy. Heading over to read about mancub's birthday. Thanks for our questions today.
ReplyDeleteOH what fun questions! I tend to be more of a quality time/ touch kind of person... as I'm not great at believing other's words of affirmations. Each day I eat a bowl of fruit, a bowl of salad, usually chicken, iced tea, and chocolate in some form or another (even it's just chocolate flavored granola on my fruit).
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of writing them each a letter on your blog. That's so nice! Our summer has been nuts! Very busy and all over the place. It's odd but I'm actually ready for school to start and we homeschool! At least I know then that there will be some consistenty and routine!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed today's Hodgepodge, Joyce. Thanks!! Loved your answers and I also loved your letter to your mancub. Hard to believe he is five already. Time... xo
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot to answer #4!!! Ireland is a MUST...y'all would love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI wondered the same thing about coffee...I say yes, too!
Oh, my goodness, I had to chuckle over your wrapping baby boy. I don't know how long swaddling has been around but I know our last 3 Grans certainly were wrapped tighter than a hat band and loved it. There's a real art to getting it just right. Looks like you will get lots of practice in the months ahead.
ReplyDeleteI'm posting late tonight but the 5 theme was fun. I'd started my post so thought I'd finish!
ReplyDeleteLoved your answers. I agree with number one...if the actions don't line up with the words, they don't quite mean much. Haha...I agree on the coffee too. Oooohhh those places to visit would be amazing. My hubby has been to Ireland and loved it. I never mastered swaddling! So you definitely get a high 5.
