April Showers Bring The Hodgepodge

Welcome to another edition of The Wednesday Hodgepodge. If you've answered today's questions add your link at the end of my post, then leave a comment for your neighbor there. Here we go-

From this Side of the Pond
1. What's a talent you wish you had?

Singing. I've always wanted to sing well, or at least in tune lol.

2. In one word, what's your state of mind right now?

buzzing

3. What's the next major purchase you need to make? Will it happen this month? This year?

We need a car. Probably two cars, but we'll start with one (hubs). It won't happen this month, and while we'd love to wait until next year, I think it will probably end up being sooner.

Have I told you car shopping is my least favorite kind of shopping?

4. Tuesday (April 2nd) was National PB and J Day...did you celebrate? Is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich something you eat weekly or more? What's your favorite kind of jelly?

I did not celebrate. I like peanut butter and jelly okay, but I very rarely have it. I can't remember the last time I made a pb & j sandwich. I prefer peanut butter on toast, no jelly.

What's my favorite jelly? It depends on what I'm in the mood for, but apricot is probably my fave.

5. Are you easily intimidated? Who or what intimidates you?

Easily? Hmmm...I hate conflict, but I wouldn't say I'm easily intimidated. I'm pretty comfortable in groups and in places where I don't know anyone, and I don't mind speaking in front of a crowded room.  I know some people find that sort of thing to be intimidating.

Bullies. I cannot abide them and yes, there are still grown adults who act like bullies. I suppose dealing with them can be a bit intimidating, but I think that's mostly because I know there will be unnecessary conflict. I avoid interacting with a bully when avoidance is an option.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Enjoying a couple of days with daughter2 and her two little cuties in the house. This little guy had a big time kayaking with his Pawpaw...

Happy Wednesday everyone!

  2. I hate conflict also! Super annoying. And yes, we also need cars but with these prices, no thank you. I'll make these last.

  5. Cars are something we will probably be facing at some point. My Mini Cooper is a 2008 but I haven't reached 60,000 miles yet. I hope all goes well with buying new cars. It is never fun dealing with car salesmen. I didn't even answer about the jelly, I can't remember the last time I had any. That's good that you don't mind speaking in front of a crowd. That picture is so darn cute. Hope you have a lovely day.

  8. Oh, that photo.. I love those cheeks. :-)

  9. I was a singer once upon a time and miss it so much. That is such an adorable picture and I love the expression on that baby's face. Yes, we too are looking for a vehicle. In fact, our son plans to help his dad this week and it is fine with me to let them narrow down the choices before getting me involved. I agree with Debby that (paying for) buying two cars would be pretty intimidating.

  10. What's a talent you wish you had?

I wish I was able to bake, but not something I could ever get the hang of

In one word, what's your state of mind right now?

    Agitated

What's the next major purchase you need to make? Will it happen this month? This year?

It will most likely be a new TV, having a few issues with the one we have, when sometime in the next few months

Tuesday (April 2nd) was National PB and J Day...did you celebrate? Is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich something you eat weekly or more? What's your favorite kind of jelly?

Really not something we eat down under

Are you easily intimidated? Who or what intimidates you?
I can be, what intimidates me, a lot of bloody things.

Insert your own random thought here.

Remember when having a disagreement, that the other person, like you can only say one word at a time if they say two, they will choke.

  11. Pretty sure our next major purchase (for the next 6 or so years!) will be college tuition! Now I'm kind of kicking myself for having all those kids to close together. LOL I like a PB&J but rarely think to actually make or eat one.

  12. You are lucky that's warm enough to go on the water ! I don't even know how the sun looks like ! Fortunately my car is still OK it probably will be the last one

  13. I also avoid dealing with a bully when I can. I couldn't think of a major purchase when I put my post together, but now I'm realizing we might decide to buy a new TV this year. I don't think we need a new one, but hubby seems to think it would be a good idea.

  14. I agree about bullies. What I can't believe is how many adult bullies there are. I just don't get it.
