Does anyone over the age of 25 really enjoy taking self portraits? First of all, it requires a coordination I'm not sure I possess. Secondly, they're usually super close up. No thank you. When I'm in a photograph I like to adjust 'things'...the angles, my chin, my hair...that's hard to do when you're taking a picture of yourself. Hubs took a picture of me in Central Park that was a close up of my face. Goodness, are those lines around my eyes always there?
Very Clever; love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it Joyce! Wisah I would have thought of it first! Great self portrait! LOL!
ReplyDeleteVery clever :)
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying seeing your pics every day. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteOmg I love it!! You photo well are you kidding me!! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteMirrors are wonderful things! I usually take my "self" portraits in my bedroom so I can pose myself. Yes, I have far too many wrinkles now then I'd like to share.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I haven't even done my photo yet because I don't like my photos of myself. Clever.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative! However, I don't have a clue what you're talking about needing to "adjust things"! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI like your kind of self-portrait! Honestly, I can't think of one photo I've ever like if myself, no matter the age! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip and trick about taking a self-portrait. I'm totally there with you. Read today's blog post. I think you'll get a kick out of it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to back around here on a daily basis. :)
Hugs,
Carol
Cheater! Just kidding :)
ReplyDeleteI dislike self portraits as well. :)
A ha ha ha! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! So clever! (I don't think you look very old...)
ReplyDeleteGood one Joyce! I almost drew a stick figure picture of myself to use. After all with my artistic abilities that would be about the best I could do on a self portrait.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I agree with you on self portraits. You are so creative, love what you did with this one!
ReplyDeleteVery cute take on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm weird, I'm 20 years past 25 and I still take goofy self portraits, or use the timer on my camera so there are up-to-date photos of me too in my scrapbooks. I am a big time advocate for scrapping yourself at the digital scrapbook sites I frequent.
The one thing I hate doing is photographing my shadow! My smile will draw attention away from the shape! I don't wanna look at the shape alone! :) We all have personal insecurities, huh?
You look absolutely smashing, Joyce! Love that shot! ;)
ReplyDeleteVery cute way to show your self portrait. I got a chuckle out of it,
ReplyDeleteJoyce- You are so clever! I love it!
ReplyDeleteVery clever, Joyce. I think that's cheating. lol
DeleteYou are such a smartie! I would have never thought about this. And, yes, the close ups are tough such as the one of myself I posted on my blog today. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWas very clever. Good.
ReplyDeleteJoyce

Gina
Ha, ha, ha! That's a good one! :)
ReplyDeleteClever, woman!
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be my best angle, too, Joyce! :-) I've tried to take a self-portrait, but have yet to get a good one. Maybe I'm endeavoring the impossible? :-)
